Throughout my career as a photographer, I have trusted a brand that has always covered my technical and creative needs and has served me faithfully for many years. As you can already guess from the title of this article, it’s about Nikon.
As a long-time user of the brand, I owned various models such as F4 and F65, while still shooting on film, and at a later stage with the advent of digital photography I had models such as D80, D200, D300, D3s and D4s.

THE VILLAGE

April 11, 2020.

Day 29 of the declared emergency. After being rigorously isolated for almost a month, we have to go to a nearby village to bring food supplies to our relatives. Their car is damaged and there is only one small shop in the village, which is rather sparse. We fill out the declarations and leave. Sammy is most excited about seeing his cousins.

THE GHOST CITY

March 28, 2020.

Day 16 of the declared state of emergency in Bulgaria and our self-imposed social exclusion. Spring is in full swing, but I only understand this because my seasonal allergy is already calling. I rarely leave home, but I have to do it to bring food to my mother, who lives in downtown Sofia. I drive the car and the camera is tight with me.

My path passes through the central part of the city and stops in front of the National Art Gallery. I have never seen Sofia so empty, even on Christmas holidays, when everything goes live somewhere.

EVERY BEGINNING IS HARD

Friday, March 13, 2020 – a state of emergency is declared in Bulgaria. A number of restrictive measures have been introduced with the state of emergency. Shops were closed in major retail outlets. Citizens are encouraged to work from home. Vacations for kindergardens, schools and universities have been announced. Restrictions on interurban traffic were introduced, among other restrictions. Walking through the parks is punishable too. The Enemy, though invisible, is already taking its victims.
